The HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR) recently <a href="http://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/privacy/guidance/access/#newlyreleasedfaqs">issued guidance </a>that clarifies open questions for covered entities on how to charge for copies of personal health information requested by patients and members, regardless of state laws.
